FAQ

How do I store my battery?

For a battery that will be used within a short amount of time, we recommend storing it in a cool, dry place. For batteries that will not be used for a long duration of time, one can either store them in a cool dry place, or for extended 'shelf life', store them in a freezer. An important thing to note: If you do store your battery in the freezer, make sure you allow it to return to room temperature before using it.

Battery Disposal: Contrary to popular belief, the best and most economical way of disposing ANY type of cell or battery is not the trash. NiCad batteries are composed of approximately 20% cadmium, and cadmium is an extremely hazardous element and can cause great damage to the environment. NiMH and Li-Ion batteries contain little, if any, cadmium, but can be a detriment to the environment in their own way. WARNING! Never attempt to burn batteries or cells! They will explode, and have the potential to cause injury or death. The safest way of disposing one’s batteries is by recycling them. Please contact the Portable Rechargeable Battery Association at (800) 822-8837 to find the location of the recycling center nearest you. www.prba.org
